Banana Protein Pancake Waffles

Banana Protein Pancake Waffles

These mini banana protein pancake waffles are soft, naturally sweet, eggless, and easy to make in a pancake or waffle maker. A scoop of Protein Shakti adds a clean plant-based protein boost, while banana and oats keep the recipe wholesome and breakfast-friendly πŸŒπŸ§‡

Protein Shakti is made with pea isolate + peanut protein powder, is vegan, gluten-free, heat stable, and each 20 g scoop gives 12.2 g protein.

Ingredients

Ripe banana: 1 medium
Oats flour: Β½ cup
Protein Shakti: 1 scoop, 20 g
Baking soda: ΒΌ tsp
Salt: a pinch
Milk: ΒΌ to Β½ cup, as needed
Indic Wisdom Wood Pressed Sunflower Oil Spray: for greasing

Optional add-ons:

Cinnamon powder: ΒΌ tsp
Vanilla essence: 2–3 drops
Chopped nuts: 1 tbsp
Dark chocolate chips: 1 tbsp

Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1: Cut the Banana

Peel and cut the banana into small pieces.

Use a ripe banana for better sweetness and softer texture.

Step 2: Mash the Banana

Add the banana pieces to a mixing bowl.

Mash well with a fork until smooth. A few small banana bits are okay and will give the waffles a nice soft bite.

Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients

Add oats flour, 1 scoop of Protein Shakti, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

Mix everything gently so the dry ingredients combine evenly with the mashed banana.

Step 4: Add Milk

Pour in milk little by little and mix to form a thick but spoonable batter.

The batter should not be too runny. It should be slightly thicker than regular pancake batter so it holds shape in the pancake or waffle maker.

Step 5: Rest the Batter

Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.

This helps the oats flour and Protein Shakti absorb moisture and gives the pancake waffles a better texture.

Step 6: Preheat the Pancake Maker

Preheat your mini pancake or waffle maker.

Once hot, lightly spray it with Indic Wisdom Wood Pressed Sunflower Oil Spray.

This helps prevent sticking and gives the outside a light golden finish.

Step 7: Add the Batter

Spoon a small amount of batter into each section of the pancake or waffle maker.

Do not overfill, as the batter will spread slightly while cooking.

Step 8: Cook Until Golden

Close the lid and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until the mini pancake waffles are firm, golden, and cooked through.

Cooking time may vary depending on the appliance.

Step 9: Remove Gently

Open the lid and remove the mini pancake waffles using a wooden or silicone spatula.

Avoid using sharp metal tools, as they may scratch the surface.

Step 10: Serve Warm

Serve warm with banana slices, honey, maple syrup, nut butter, berries, or a dusting of cinnamon.

For a cleaner everyday version, enjoy them plain with a glass of milk or your favourite breakfast drink.

Recipe Notes

Since this recipe is eggless, banana helps bind the batter naturally.

Protein Shakti may thicken the batter slightly, so adjust milk gradually until you get the right consistency.

For softer pancake waffles, keep the batter slightly thick and do not overcook.
For crispier edges, cook for an extra minute after the waffle maker stops steaming.
