Choco Chip Cookies
These eggless choco chip protein cookies are soft, lightly chewy, and naturally sweetened with honey. With 1 scoop of Protein Shakti, your regular homemade cookie gets a simple plant-based protein upgrade.
Protein Shakti is made with pea isolate + peanut protein powder, is vegan, gluten-free, heat stable, and each 20 g scoop gives 12.2 g protein.
Ingredients
Oats flour: ½ cup
Protein Shakti: 1 scoop, 20 g
Baking soda: ¼ tsp
Salt: a pinch
Honey: 2–3 tbsp
Milk: 2–4 tbsp, as needed
Choco chips: 2–3 tbsp
Optional add-ons:
Vanilla essence: 2–3 drops
Cinnamon powder: a pinch
Chopped nuts: 1 tbsp
Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, add oats flour, 1 scoop of Protein Shakti, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
Mix well so Protein Shakti blends evenly with the oats flour.
Step 2: Add Honey
Add honey to the dry mixture.
Honey works as the natural sweetener and also helps bind the cookie dough.
Step 3: Add Milk Gradually
Add milk little by little and mix until a soft cookie dough forms.
Do not add all the milk at once. The dough should be soft and scoopable, not runny.
Step 4: Add Choco Chips
Fold in the choco chips.
Keep a few extra choco chips aside to press on top of the cookies before baking.
Step 5: Rest the Dough
Let the dough rest for 5–10 minutes.
This helps the oats flour and Protein Shakti absorb moisture properly.
Step 6: Shape the Cookies
Take small portions of dough and shape them into cookies.
Place them on a lined baking tray and gently flatten each cookie.
Press a few choco chips on top for a better finish.
Step 7: Bake the Cookies
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges turn lightly golden.
Do not overbake, as oil-free protein cookies can become dry if baked for too long.
Step 8: Cool Completely
Remove the tray from the oven and let the cookies rest for 5 minutes.
Then transfer them to a wire rack and cool completely.
The cookies will firm up as they cool.
Step 9: Serve and Store
Serve with milk, coffee, or as a protein-rich snack.
Store in an airtight container once fully cooled.
Recipe Notes
Protein Shakti is heat stable, so it can be added directly to cookie dough before baking.
Since this is an oil-free cookie recipe, the texture will be more soft-chewy than buttery-crisp.
For softer cookies, bake for less time.
For firmer cookies, flatten them slightly more and bake for 1–2 extra minutes.
