Protein Roti

Soft everyday roti gets a simple protein upgrade with 1 scoop of Protein Shakti. Just mix it into your atta and make your regular meal more protein-rich without changing your cooking routine 🌾

Protein Shakti is made with pea isolate + peanut protein powder, is vegan, gluten-free, heat stable, and each 20 g scoop gives 12.2 g protein.

Ingredients

Whole wheat atta: 1 cup
Protein Shakti: 1 scoop, 20 g
Salt: a pinch, optional
Oil or ghee: 1 tsp, optional
Water: as needed to knead

Step-by-Step Directions

Step 1: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, add whole wheat atta and 1 scoop of Protein Shakti.

Mix well so Protein Shakti is evenly combined with the atta.

Step 2: Add Salt and Oil

Add a pinch of salt if required.

For softer rotis, add 1 tsp oil or ghee and mix it into the flour.

Step 3: Knead the Dough

Add water little by little and knead into a soft, smooth dough.

Protein Shakti may slightly increase water absorption, so add water gradually.

Step 4: Rest the Dough

Cover the dough and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.

This helps the dough hydrate properly and makes the rotis easier to roll.

Step 5: Divide into Dough Balls

Divide the dough into equal portions.

Roll each portion into a smooth dough ball.

Step 6: Roll the Roti

Dust lightly with atta and roll into a thin, even circle.

Avoid using too much dry flour while rolling.

Step 7: Cook on Tawa

Heat a tawa on medium flame.

Place the roti on the hot tawa and cook until small bubbles appear.

Flip and cook the other side until light brown spots appear.

Step 8: Puff or Press Lightly

Flip again and gently press with a cloth or spatula until the roti puffs slightly.

Cook evenly on both sides.

Step 9: Serve Fresh

Serve hot with dal, sabzi, curd, pickle, or any everyday Indian meal.

Your regular roti now becomes a protein-rich roti with one simple scoop of Protein Shakti.
